VGP – According to Ministry of State-owned Enterprises of Indonesia, many Indonesian enterprises, including eight state-owned leading ones, are keen to set foot in Viet Nam’s market.
Minister Dahlan Iskan said the eight enterprises include Semen Cement, Pupuk Fertilizer, Telekomunikasi Telecommunications, Kimia Farma pharmaceutical, Bulog National Logistics, Pertamina Oil and Gas, Bukit Asam Dirgantara Mining and Aircraft Manufacturing Company.
They are also among ten big Indonesian companies that have attended the seminar with 20 Vietnamese businesses in Jakarta during the official state-level visit to Indonesia by Viet Nam’s President Truong Tan Sang in June this year.
This year, the Indonesian Ministry of State-owned Enterprises will send a survey team to Viet Nam to dig out investment opportunities and business potentials in the market with over 90 million consumers.
According to the Indonesian Ministry of Commerce, bilateral trade between Viet Nam and Indonesia has increased from US$ 3.3 billion in 2010 to US$ 4.6 billion in 2012, in which Viet Nam got US$110 million in surplus. The two countries set the goal of increasing bilateral trade to US$18 billion in 2018.
Viet Nam, Myanmar and Cambodia are three potential target markets to Indonesia in Southeast Asia.
