PANO – The High Command of Military Zone 5 lauded typical demobilized servicemen for their outstanding achievements in fulfilling their military service in the second drive of 2013.
The commendation was made on July 28th in Da Nang city, in the presence of Lieutenant General Le Chiem, the zone’s commander, and Major General Tran Quang Phuong, the zone’s commissar.
In the second drive, more than 5,000 non-commissioned officers and troops completed their military service. Though taking different missions and stationed in different locations, they tried their best to master equipment and weapons to fulfil their assigned tasks.
Of the 101 typical servicemen, 11 and 44 were admitted to the Party before joining the army and during their military service, respectively, and 49 were selected as Eminent Soldiers.
Highly speaking of their contributions to the zone’s armed forces, Major General Tran Quang Phuong asked them to uphold and bring into full play the noble virtue of “Uncle Ho’s Soldiers” and the zone’s tradition, as well as learn a trade and actively contribute to the development of their home towns and the nation.
