PANO – Despite difficulties, the Vietnam People’s Army always shares experience with, cooperates and gives support to the Lao army in all fields, especially defence, said Lieutenant General Pham Xuan Hung, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, in an warm reception given to visiting Lao counterpart Major General Chanthoong Sontaat.

The Vietnamese general believed that the guest’s visit to Vietnam would help boost the fruitful ties between the two Ministries of Defence. He also highlighted the growing friendship between the two Parties, two States, two Armies and two peoples over the past time.
For his part, Major General Chanthoong Sontaat hoped that the Vietnamese Ministry of Defence would further help the Lao Ministry of Defence train officers. He said that he will do his best to contribute to the development of the relationship between the two armies in particular, and the two countries in general.
