A water puppet, and folklore games festival for disadvantaged children and centers for pioneers and young people in southern provinces took place in Binh Thuan province.
The event drew the participation of more than 400 water puppetry artists and folklore game athletes from 19 houses for children and centers for pioneers and young people in southern provinces.
The festival is a significant ground for children in southern provinces in summer to maintain and develop folklore games and forms of arts; and an opportunity for children to study and enjoy folklore games, contributing to educating the awareness of national cultural identities.
On this occasion, several disadvantaged children in districts of Ham Thuan Bac and Ham Thuan Nam, and Ham Tien precinct in Phan Thien city, Binh Thuan province, were provided with scholarships.
