(VOV) -A get-together was held in Hanoi on August 24 to mark Hungary’s Independence Day (August 20) and Vietnam’s National Day (September 2).
Vietnam-Hungary Friendship Association (VHFA) Chairman Nguyen Dang Vang highlighted the achievements the two countries have recorded in politics, economics, , culture, science, technology, and education.
He noted that the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries have developed well in various areas over the years through their high-level reciprocal visits.
He expressed his belief that such relationship will further grow in the future in the interest of the two peoples and for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the two regions and the rest of the world.
VHFA representatives reviewed the association’s recent initiatives facilitating relationship-building between Vietnamese agencies and businesses and their Hungarian partners.
The association has also mobilised its membership and sponsors to fund scholarships for children of Agent Orange/dioxin victims in Vietnam.
Hungarian Ambassador to Vietnam Torda Eszter thanked the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) and VHFA for co-hosting the meeting and wished the two organisations the greatest of future success.
