The department of education and training has just held the summing-up conference 2012-2013 and implementing the tasks for 2013-2014.

Accordingly, in the school-year of 2012-2013, Phu Yen province’s sector of education and training pushes up the quality and efficiency of educational activities; expanding the school networks, creating the favorable conditions for the pupils in the difficult regions to go to school, in comparison with the previous school year, reducing 214 pupils who quit school. The mobilization of “each cadre, teacher accepts to support one pupil at risk of quitting school due to difficult family circumstances or weak pupils” commenced by the department of education and training has helped more than 5,500 poor and nearly poor pupils at risk of quitting school with more than 600 million dongs and 150,000 free extra lessons. The task of educational management has been renovated in some ways, like establishing 243 websites with the domain phuyen.edu.vn; enhancing the construction of electronic libraries in school; the provincial level judging council has accepted the theme of “constructing the system of certificates and diplomas”.
At the conference, the sector of education and training has consented to implement 4 focal task groups in the 2013-2014 school year, which includes: continue enhancing the effect and efficiency of the management task; enhancing the quality and efficiency of educational activities; developing the staff of teachers and cadres in the educational management sector; increasing the investment force, renovating the educational finance regime.
Addressing at the conference, the vice chairman of the PPC, Mr. Tran Quang Nhat commended the achievements gained by Phu Yen province’s sector of education and training in the 2012-2013 school year; simultaneously, the vice chairman proposed that in the 2013-2014 school year, the sector of education and training would need to continue applying in a creative way the “studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh”; enhancing the solutions of enhancing the quality of teaching-learning so as to reduce the proportion of weak students and students quitting school, increasing the proportion of good or fairly good students in a sustainable way; pushing up the universalisation of kinder garten education for 5-year-old children in the period of 2011-2015; caring at the right level for the pupils from policy families, or families in special difficult situations, pupils from ethnic groups. In parallel with that, the sector needs to care, invest for developing the teaching staff through the activities of training, fostering; fully implementing the network of schools, classrooms and improving the material foundations, educational equipment in the direction of standardization and modernization…
On this occasion, Phu Yen department of education and training was granted the merit certificate by the Ministry of education and training for the excellent achievements in the school year of 2012-2013. The Provincial People’s Committee presented the excellent emulating flag to 3 units directly belonging to the department and many merit certificates to the collectives and individuals.
