The fifth International Tea Meeting will be held on October 8-9 in Hanoi, with the participation of domestic and foreign tea producers and exporters, and foreign tea organizers and associations, according to the Vietnam Tea Association.

The meeting is expected to create opportunities for Vietnam to promote its tea products, the strengths and potential of the product, as well as boost trade and build the trademark for Vietnamese tea.


During the event, participants will discuss measures to ensure sustainable production in the local tea industry in order to improve quality and expand export markets.


According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnam ranks fifth in the world in exporting tea, and Vietnam’s tea products now appear in 105 countries and territories.


In the first eight months this year, Vietnam shipped 86,000 tonnes of tea abroad, a 6 percent decrease in volume but a 7 percent increase in value in comparison to the same period last year./.
