(VEN) – Statistics from the Ministry of Planning and Investment showed that Vietnam had attracted more than 15,000 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with total registered capital of US$223 billion from 100 countries and territories by the end of this September.
The top ten leaders contributed almost 80 percent of all FDI in Vietnam, including Japan (investing US$33.4 billion), Singapore (US$28.8 billion), Chinese Taipei (US$27.49 billion), the Republic of Korea (US$27.34 billion), British Virgin Islands (US$15.3 billion), Hong Kong-China (US$12.52 billion), the US (US$10.06 billion), Malaysia (US$10.22 billion), Thailand (US$6.34 billion) and the Netherlands (US$5.97 billion).
The remaining 90 countries and territories have registered US$44.88 billion worth of investment capital in Vietnam, accounting for 20.12 percent of all FDI capital./.
