The project has a total investment of VND15 billion ($750,000) from the state budget and it will be kicked off later this year.

Hanoi leaders requested the project developer – the Hanoi Urban Environment Company – to ensure the implementation pace and the work quality.

Currently, there are 310 public toilets in the four old urban districts of Hanoi, managed by the above firm. However, there are only 16 old public toilets in the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem district, the city’s tourist attraction.
