(VEN) – An Asia conference was held from October 30-31 in Hanoi within the framework of the 2013 Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP 2013) under the theme, “Improving Efficiency and Sustainable Growth”.
The Development Strategy Institute under the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam together with the Korea Development Institute (KDI) launched the event, which attracted policy makers, scientists and managers from Vietnam, the Republic of Korea and KSP’s partner countries in Asia, plus representatives of many international organizations in Vietnam.
The conference discussed three major topics, including improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the public sector, ensuring macro economic stability and sustainable growth, and building competitiveness.
The program was initiated in 2004 by the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Strategy and Finance and was devised and developed by the KDI.
So far the Republic of Korea has developed the KSP with 460 topics in 39 partner countries and has given policy advice to 10 Asian countries./.
