Defence Minister meets with voters in Hung Yen City

PANO – General Phung Quang Thanh, Minister of National Defence, and other National Assembly deputies of Hung Yen province met with voters in the province’s Hung Yen City on December 5th.


Local voters were briefed on the results of the 6th session of the 13th National Assembly (NA), national socio-economic development, the amended Constitution and Land Law, and external affairs over the past time.

The general said that under the Party’s leadership and the efforts of the whole political system and entire people, Vietnam has maintained a strong economic growth rate while curbing inflation and maintaining social order since the beginning of the year, as well as beefing up the new rural building campaign.


Next year, the Government is determined to keep the economy on the right track, ensure social welfare and promote social order, and national defence and security, to enhance Vietnam’s position in the international arena and firmly protect the national territorial integrity.


For their part, voters expressed their pleasure at the results of the 13th NA’s 6th session and conveyed proposals to the State and Government to continuously care about anti-corruption, land management and use, market stabilization, and social welfare.


Members of Hung Yen province’s deputy delegation valued local voters’ responsibility in putting forward suggestions to the NA, and hoped that they would have more confidence in the Party’s leadership and the State’s management.
