PANO – Rescue forces from Tuy Hoa City Border Post and Flotilla 2 of Phu Yen provincial Border Guard Command, on December 5th successfully saved 9 fishermen on the ship PY-90874TS which had been damaged by strong waves in the previous day. Parts of the ship were also taken ashore by the forces.
Reportedly, the ship with 9 fishermen on board carrying 500 liters of oil, 700 ice blocks, fishing equipment and food went adrift before being torn in the bad weather near Da Dien Harbour and swept away more than 2km from its starting point in Dong Tac fishing port in Phu Dong precinct, Tuy Hoa city.
Mr. Dang Ngoc Danh, the ship’s owner, in Phu Dong precinct, Tuy Hoa City, said property loss estimates could reach around VND 1 billion. Fortunately, all fishermen were brought safely ashore.
