Thanh Nien Newspaper in coordination with Vietnam Youth Committee in Phu Yen province and Thai Nakorn Patana Vietnam Company Ltd. has just organized the ceremony to award Nguyen Thai Binh scholarship to 70 studious and effort-making pupils and students who are offsprings of fishermen with difficult circumstances.

The scholarship-donatingceremony this time is within the framework of the program “Being a companion with young fishermen for going offshore” held by Thanh Nien Newspaper since 2011 with the purpose of helping fishermen’s families to overcome difficulties to feel safe in the heart to cling to sea. 70 pupils and students of schools, colleges and universities in Phu Yen province have received scholarships from the program; each scholarship is 3 million dongs for each pupil and 5 million dongs for each college or university student. The total 250-million-dong scholarship this time is sponsored by Thai Nakorn Patana Vietnam Company Ltd. On this occasion, Thai Nakorn Patana Vietnam Company ltd. also donated 70 medical gifts to fishermen in Xuan Canh commune (Song Cau town).
