Phu Yen provincial people’s committee (PPC) has just held the 66 years of the day of martyrs and war invalids (July 27th, 1947-July 27th, 2913) and conferred posthumous state title Vietnam heroic mothers.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Tran Quang Nhat, vice chairman of the PPC delivered a speech on reviewing the great meaning of the Day of Martyrs and War Invalids; expressing the unlimited gratitude to the heroes, Vietnam Heroic mothers, the disabled soldiers, the people devoting to the cause of liberating nation; overcoming the difficulties to contribute greatly to the cause of constructing and protecting the Nation. In the past time, the movement of the whole population caring for the war invalids, families of the heroes and those sacrificing for the Revolution; there have been the programs of rendering thanks, like: establishing the fund of rendering thanks, presenting the feeling-and-duty saving books, the feeling-and-duty gardens, presenting silk blouses to mothers, supporting Vietnam heroic mothers, helping and caring for the seriously disabled soldiers, caring for the solitude parents of the heroes, children of dead heroes, together with numerous meaningful and practical activities held in many ham lets, villages, residential areas, offices, enterprises, schools, units, with the sentiments of the compatriots, comrades, team mates…The movement has practically been deep in the bottom of the people’s hearts, developing the united strength of the residential community, contributing to stabilizing and enhancing the spiritual, material lives of the war invalids, families of the heroes, those sacrificing to the Revolution, and the movement has become the beauty of Vietnam’s cultural life.
At the ceremony, the provincial leaders solemnly presented the Certificate of the title of Vietnam heroic mother to the relatives of 7 Mothers, who are Mother Bui Thi Lau (born in 1918, in An Linh commune, Tuy An district) with 3 heroic children; Mother Tran Thi Cai (born in 1912, in An Phu commune, Tuy Hoa city) with two heroic children; mother Mau Thi Lien (born in 1893, in An My, Tuy An); Mother Vo Thi Thanh (born in 1920, in Xuan Phuoc commune, Dong Xuan); Mother Le Thi Lang (born in Hoa Thinh commune, Tay Hoa district); Mother Phan Thi Kiep (born in 1020, in Hoa Thinh commune, Tay Hoa district ) all have an only child that is a hero.
