Of this figure, sectors with high growth rates were milk processing and products from milk, up 20.6 percent; beer production, up 14 percent; and ready-to-wear production, up 50.9 percent.
However, the inventory index in the processing and manufacturing industry as of November 1 rose 9.4 percent in comparison with the same period last year. Some sectors with high growth rates but big inventory indexes included milk processing and products from milk, up 69.9 percent; beverage production, 20.8 percent; and ready-to-wear production (except clothes), up 20.3 percent and footwear production, up 2.1 percent.
Under these circumstances, Ms. Thoa stressed that for the rest of the year, the ministry needs to focus on implementing the Government’s resolution on major solutions to follow the socio-economic development plan and the state budget estimate in 2013.
In addition, she called for continued intensification of measures to expand markets and let out inventory commodities. She urged the Domestic Market Department, in association with businesses and groups, to provide enough commodities for customers before and after the Lunar New Year./.
