(VOVworld) – Switzerland’s newly-elected President, DidierBurkhalter, has identified three priorities during his term including youth, employment, and external relations expansion.

He said he wants to create conditions for the young generation to realize their ambitions and access favorable learning conditions so that they will have good jobs in the future. In terms of external policies, he will continue to strengthen bilateral relations.
Switzerland will take the post of President of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in 2014. Didier Burkhalter was sworn into office on December 4, replacing Ueli Maurer.
