(VOVworld)- The Thai government said on Wednesday that it will not negotiate with the protest leader, Suthep Thaugsuban, until he agrees to surrender and answer legal accusations. Thai Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul, who is also head of a special internal security panel, said Suthep should give himself up because he broke the law. Surapong told reporters that the government will not hold further talks with Suthep until he surrenders himself to police and anyone who gives him refuge or shelter will be deemed guilty, too. Confrontations and protests have been temporarily paused to show respect for the Thai King’s 86th birthday on Thursday. This king is worshiped by the Thai people.
