The scientists from Institute of Water, Irrigation and Environment (Vietnam Irrigation Science Institute) successfully researched and produced arsenic water treatment equipment by nano technology in order to serve water supply for rural areas.
The equipment used nano filtration materials that are products of manufacturing test project in state level “Complete production technology of mobile water purification device using nano materials to serve potable water supply for the flooded areas of Central region and Red River Delta” with lightweight portable features, without using electricity, chemicals and sewage.
Sources of input water is diverse (water of rivers, lakes, wells, flood), the maximum filtration rate is 80 liters / hour or 120 liters / hour (depending on type), after filtered water with arsenic levels <0.01 mg / l, reaches drinking water quality standards under QCVN 01:2009 / BYT. The equipment only costs 50-70% compared to similar products from Japan, South Korea and etc.
