On January 21, a press briefing to open the programme for the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Sweden diplomatic ties took place in Hanoi, promising to bring significant and practical activities for both countries in 2014.
The programme started with a concert at Hanoi Opera House on January 21 featuring both the famous Swedish band Vocaletters and Vietnam’s pop diva My Linh.
To promote the friendly relationship between the two countries, a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden will make a working visit to Vietnam in the first quarter of 2014.
In 2014, the Swedish Embassy in Vietnam will coordinate with the ministries, committees and agencies to organize a series of cultural and educational activities such as photo exhibition, film week, gastronomy festivals, sports activities, and opportunities to study in Sweden.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Swedish Ambassador to Vietnam Camilla Mellander affirmed that Vietnam and Sweden are reliable partners in politics, economics, culture and education, bringing benefits to both nations./.
