The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said the export value of agricultural, forest and aquatic products reached US$27.469 billion in 2013, up 0.7 percent year on year.
However, staple exports declined in both value and volume, including rice, coffee, tea and cassava. In value, key agricultural commodities were estimated to bring in US$13.1 billion, down 11.9 percent year on year; major aquatic exports were projected at US$6.7 billion, up 10.1 percent; and primary forest product exports were forecast at US$5.65 billion, up 15.1 percent year on year.
