VGP – The DepartmentforHIV/AIDS Prevention and Control, under the Ministry of Health has reviewed the HIV/AIDS Asia Regional Program (HAARP Viet Nam) in 2010-2013, in Buon Ma Thuat City, Central Highlands Dak Lak Province.
The program, sponsored by the Australian and Dutch Governments, was launched in the northern provinces of Hoa Binh, Tuyen Quang and Bac Kan.
The program provided package services for drug addicts and prostitutes, focusing on providing syringesand condoms and supporting drug addicts.
In addition, the project organized training courses to enhance the building capacity for the staff working in HIV/AIDS prevention and control work in the Ministries of Health, Public Securities and Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.
