The department of labor-war invalids-social affairs conducts the tasks of state management on labor, employment, salaries, social insurance; unemployment insurance; vocational training; implementing the policies for those sacrificing for the Revolution; social patronage; protecting and caring for children; the programs of hunger eradication and poverty reduction; gender equality; cracking down on social evils…In 2006, Phu Yen department of labor-war invalids-social affairs was awarded the third level Independence Medal by the State. In the 2007-2013period, the collective of the department’s civil servants and state staff continued to develop the achievements and recovered difficulties, making every possible effort to achieve better. During this period, the unit always well implemented the assigned tasks; 100% of communes and wards, town lets were acknowledged to well conduct the tasks of war invalids and veterans; 106 communes and wards were acknowledged meeting the standards compatible with children; 96 communes and wards were acknowledged healthy units, free of drugs and prostitution…
In 2014, Phu Yen department of labor-war invalids-social affairs made efforts to create new employment for 23,500 laborers, exporting 500 laborers, the proportion of those buying social insurance ached 14%, reducing 2.5% of poor households, eradicating 1,000 temporary houses, mobilizing 2 billion dongs for the Fund of rendering thanks, mobilizing 1 billion dongs for the fund of patronizing children, 100% of children under 6 years of age are issued sickness checking and treating cards…
