(VOV) – Fishermen from the central province of Quang Ngai have rescued four foreign nationals in distress near Vietnam’s Truong Sa archipelago, the provincial Border Guard Command announced on January 7.

The foreigners asked for help when a fishing vessel owned by Nguyen Huu Phuc, a fisherman of Quang Ngai province, was operating in the waters near the Truong Sa archipelago on January 5.

Phuc sent a message to the Border Guard Command, briefing them on the rescue and the itinerary of the vessel.

All the foreigners are in good health condition and they will be brought ashore in a couple of days, according to Phuc.
