Recently, the Hanoi Foreign Trade University held a ceremony to launch the project “Green Exchange 2014″ in order to communicate and promote environmental protection activities for students and communities.
During the week of the project (between January 13th and 17th, 2014), students, staff, teachers, and people in the city of Hanoi will be involved in numerous activities, such as exchanging old books, notebooks, or newspapers to receive a beautiful small flowerpot (3 kg of papers/books/notebooks for a small flowerpot). In addition, participants are also involved in sideline activities like crossword games, Flash mob dance… to learn about the knowledge, taking action to protect the environment in the kick-off day. The project received strong support from the Foreign Trade University, the Youth Union of the Foreign Trade University, and the sponsors of the program: Project “Hanoi nice and not nice”, Thang Long one thousand years ecological joint stock company.
“Green Exchange 2014″ is carried out to minimize the amount of waste paper going into the environment; to re-use or supply paper for manufacturers for recycling. Thereby, it contributes to raising awareness of people about the efficient use and saving of paper, as well as providing the knowledge of environmental protection and climate change. We look forward to “Green Exchange 2014″ contribute to creating habits of keeping offices green, clean, and beautiful by using natural and environmentally friendly decorations. The project is expected to collect 1,000 kg of old books, notebooks, paper and newspapers and attract the participation of 5,000 students, staff and teachers in the university.
