Pursuant to Joint Circular No. 19/2013/TTLT-BVHTTDL-BTNMT dated February 15 between Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, tourism activities, festival organization and the protection and promotion of heritage values must comply with environmental protection.
In particular, before planning on reconstruction, upgradation, repair, preservation, remodeling and restoration, organizations and individuals in charge of their production, business and service must submit a report on environment impact assessment based on the content and scale of the project or to apply for registration of written environmental protection commitment.
Organizations and individuals in charge of production, business and service are responsible for periodical environment monitoring in accordance with the approved environmental impact assessment report or environment protection commitment.
For the purpose of environment protection, tourists are required to keep environment clean, not to bring toxic chemicals, explosives, flammable materials in wildfire-prone area and flora area and not to trade and use precious rare plants and animals and products of rare plant and animal origin.
