(VOV) – Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly of Indonesia Sidarto Danusubroto on March 5 left Hanoi for his country, successfully concluding his visit to Vietnam at the invitation of National Assembly (NA) Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung.
At meetings, the leaders expressed their delight at the constant development of Vietnam-Indonesia relations especially since the two countries officially established the strategic partnership in 2013.
They said they hope the two legislative bodies will bolster cooperation, accelerate the adoption of related agreements and efficiently supervise the implementation of signed agreements for mutual benefit.
On the East Sea issue, both sides agreed that this issue should be addressed through peaceful means and dialogues to bring stability to the region.
While staying in Vietnam, Indonesian speaker Sidarto Danusubroto laid a wreath at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, visited General Vo Nguyen Giap’s house, the Museum of Ethnology, the Vietnam Military History Museum, the Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature) and Ha Long Bay- the UNESCO-recognized world natural heritage.
