March 04, 2014 – Quang Nam Department of Justice held a workshop on propagandizing Vietnamese Constitution 2013 to put it into effect soon. Deputy Head of the provincial delegation of national assembly deputies Tran Xuan Vinh is the speaker.
This Constitution was unanimously approved by the 8th National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam at its 11th session, and came into effect from January 1st, 2014. It has 11 chapters consisting of 120 articles, which means a decrease of one chapter and 27 articles in comparison with the last Constitution in 1992.
At the workshop, Deputy Head of the provincial delegation of national assembly deputies Tran Xuan Vinh clarified new ideas of the Constitution on human rights, fundamental rights and duties of the citizen, new issues of economy, society, culture, education, science, technology, environment and national sovereignty, etc. He emphasized that the new Constitution had inherited progressive ideas of the last one, at the same time, shown our strong commitment to international agreements that we signed; it also appreciated the human rights and proved the democratic nature of our nation.
The adjusted land law and other laws approved by the 8th National Assembly at its 6th session was also introduced at this workshop.
