March 03, 2014 – Quang Nam General Hospital has done 469 cardiovascular interventions, including 41 complicated surgeries (such as pacemaker implantation) with high successful rate and acceptable complications.
Quang Nam General Hospital is the first provincial secondary hospital that has applied cardiovascular intervention techniques transferred by Hue Central Hospital, Hue Medical and Pharmaceutical University, and professors of Singapore National Hospital.
In 2014, Medtronic Medical Devices Company commits to donor 10 dual-chamber pacemakers to poor patients with arrhythmias, and signs an agreement with Quang Nam General Hospital on organizing monthly carotid artery and pace-making intervention trainings with the instruction of world leading cardiovascular intervention experts. This represents great opportunities for local doctors to absorb the world latest achievements in the area of cardiovascular intervention.
