A ship transporting passengers to the Be island
The inland waterway route to and from Big (Lon) Island and Small (Be) Island in the Ly Son island district, Quang Ngai province was officially put into operation for passengers who need to two-way traveling between the two islands.
This route with the length of 3 nautical miles shall be managed by Quang Ngai Department of Transport.
Be island is one of the two islands of Ly Son island district. It is 7 km far away from Lon Island. It has its own pristine beaches and quiet, romantic spots. Rock ranges divide beaches and create private spaces for swimmers. Thus, recent years, Be Island has become one of the attractive destinations of tourists. According to statistics, from the beginning of this year to now, Be island has welcomed thousands of domestic and foreign tourists.
The operation of the aforesaid waterway route, not only creates favorable and safe conditions for people in need of travelling to and from Be Island but also contributes to the socio-economic development and ensure national defense and security on the island. Especially, it helps develop the sea tourism in Ly Son in general and Be island in particular.
