PANO – The ASD 2411/YN 512263, a modern tug boat, was launched on March 25th in the central city of Da Nang by the Song Thu Corporation under the General Department of Defence Industry.

The construction of this tug boat started on March 4th under the contract to build 4 ASD ships signed by the corporation and the Dutch Damen Group on April 6th, 2011.
The ASD 2411/YN512263 is designed by the Damen Group, suitable to operate in even shallow waters.
The tug, 24.47m in length, 10.7m in width and 4.6m in height, is equipped with two engines with total capacity of 5,600hp and two propellers. It has a displacement of 390 tonnes.
After the launch, the ASD 2411/YN 512263 will be added to the Fleet of the Port Otaga Limited Company, one of New Zealand’s leading companies specialized in providing port services.
