Nhan Dan Online – Nam Dinh should intensify emulation movements in political and socio-economic development, said Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan at a March 11 conference held by the provincial People’s Committee.
The conference reviewed the province’s emulation movements and commendation work in 2013 and launched the emulation and reward movements for 2014.
In 2013, the province’s patriotic emulation movement showed notable developments in all fields, forms and content associated with studying and following the moral example of President Ho Chi Minh.
The movement discovered and commended new models, as well as outstanding individuals and collectives that made significant contributions to fulfilling the locality’s assigned socio-economic development tasks, realising the authorities’ policies on social security, and maintaining public order.
Speaking at the conference, Vice President Doan, who is also the first vice chairwoman of the Central Council for Emulation and Commendation (CCEC), praised Nam Dinh Province for its outstanding achievements in emulation and reward campaigns over the past year.
She also asked that the province continue in the vein of its emulation and reward activities of 2013 while improving the effectiveness of administrative reforms to promote the capability of the political system.
