Authorities will be instituting stronger punishments against production, trade, and use of unapproved motorbike helmets, according to the National Traffic Safety Committee on April 23.

These strict sanctions will be effective until June 19.
Police will be ticketing individuals driving with unapproved helmets on starting July 1. The helmets will be confiscated.
