Avian flu reduce dramatically as related agencies put a lot of effort into controlling the disease, said the Department of Animal Health, part of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Currently Hanoi and the northern province of Ha Giang have not been free from bird flu H5N1 for 19 days.
The Department of Animal Health has supplied around 12 million dozes of vaccine Re-6 to bird flu-hit localities including the northern provinces of Bac NInh, Nam Dinh, Lao Cai, Thanh Hoa, Phu Tho, Hai Duong, the central province of Binh Thuan, Nghe An and the southern provinces of Tay Ninh, Tra Vinh and Can Tho City in the Mekong delta.
Nearly 20 million dozes of vaccine Re – 5 and 6 are in stock.
