Employees of Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam Beverage Company (SPVB) actively took part in the 7th Waste Recycling Day 2014 in Ho Chi Minh City on April 20, 2014. The event was held by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
Executive Chairman Katsuyasu Kato said, “SPVB is delighted to partner with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City to implement this programme for seven consecutive years. This programme aims to uphold the public consciousness of environmental protection. Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam has integrated this activity with the voluntary philanthropic programme funded, built and carried out by SPVB’s employees.
In the future, SPVB will continue to cooperate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and other entities to speed up environmental protection activities and active involvement with social community.”
SPVB launched and built a programme series to call consumers to use environment-friendly products like “Think and Drink” Programme that advises consumers to use glass bottles to protect the environment. Besides, the company’s staff actively takes part in environment-cleansing in factory surrounding sites together with local government agencies and organisations.
