(VOV) – Vietnamese and Sudanese agricultural officials co-hosted the first meeting of Vietnam-Sudan Joint Committee in Khartoum from April 14-16 to boost bilateral cooperation in seafood processing, education-training, and culture.
Both sides agreed to work together towards the signing of new cooperation agreements on foreign affairs, marine transport, and investment.
Sudanese State Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Abdalla Gaafar Ahmed Omer said his country has recognized Vietnam’s market economy status, and desires to learn experience from Vietnam in politics, economics, and social affairs.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Vu Van Tam affirmed that Vietnam always highly values the comprehensive cooperation with African countries, including Sudan and suggested the two sides bolster cooperation in the areas of their strength.
The two officials used the occasion to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on agriculture cooperation between the two nations.
