Russian tourists increasingly like Viet Nam

The number of Russian visitors coming to Viet Nam has risen sharply in the last three years, according to Nguyen Quoc Hung, deputy head of the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism.

From 100,000 in 2011, the number rose to 144,000 in 2012 and 250,000 last year. It is expected to rise to 400,000 this year.

Tour operators said Russians like Viet Nam because the country is ideal for relaxation and health tourism. They suggested further development of beach tours and hot-water springs to attract more Russians.
