HCM CITY (VNS) — French classical guitarist Gabriel Bianco will perform at IDECAF (L’Institut d’Echanges Culturels avec la France) on May 22 in HCM City.
Bianco, who has established himself as one of the most active guitarists of his generation, constantly updates his repertoire, which includes original works and transcriptions covering all periods of classical music.
He has been a first-prize winner at many prestigious international competitions and has performed at 40 international festivals.
Bianco’s first CD in 2009 received high praise in the musical press, including Classical Guitar Magazine, Guitare Classique and La Guitarra.
He teaches at the Maurice Ravel Conservatory and the Jean-Philippe Rameau Conservatory in Paris.
The concert will be held at 8pm. Tickets are VND100,000 and can be bought at IDECAF at the theatre on 28 Le Thanh Ton St. — VNS
