NA to kick off 7th plenary session

HA NOI (VNS) — The National Assembly’s seventh plenary session of the 13th legislature starts today in Ha Noi and will run for 29 days until June 24.


Vice Chairman of the National Assembly office, Nguyen Si Dung, said there had been an increase in the number of law projects for discussion and approval. Eleven projects were awaiting approval and 16 awaiting first discussion.


According to NA Resolution 64/2013/QH13, laws and legal documents issued before the 2013 amended Constitution have to be re-examined or renewed so that they comply with the new constitution.



The laws that are expected to be approved by the NA include the amended laws on environmental protection, public investment, bankruptcy, marriage, families and construction.


Chairman of the NA office, Nguyen Hanh Phuc, said the NA would also discuss the East Sea situation. Deputies will talk about possible measures and policies for Viet Nam regarding the issue. — VNS
