The expansion of National Highway IA in Quang Ngai and Phu Yen provinces is running behind schedule as site clearance issues have not been solved.
Only 41km of the section through Quang Ngai has been cleared, although the deadline for resolving clearance issues is June 30.
Neighbouring Phu Yen has cleared 69km of the 85km-long section of the national highway running through it.
Low-cost housing to be built for workers
More than 2,000 low-priced apartments will be built in Thuan An town in the southern province of Binh Duong to sell to local workers and others with low incomes, according to Cao Tan Thach, director of Nam Long Investment JC Company.
The project is being built on 12.6 hectares and includes facilities such as a central park, a swimming pool, a fitness centre, a supermarket and schools.
The apartment areas range from 40-60 sq. m, and sell for VND450 million ($21,000) for two-bedroom apartment.

VN-ASEAN trade quadruples since 2003
The trade between Viet Nam and Southeast Asian countries in 2013 was US$40 billion, four times as much as in 2003, according to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
ASEAN has become the third-largest market for Vietnamese exports after the US and the EU.
