​The Provincial People’s Committee has been released its plan of distributing Bio-ethanol fuel (E5) to petroleum stations through out the province.



According to the plan, bio-ethanol fuel will replace 100% of gasoline A92 in September, going ahead three months compared with the Central Government’s frame work.


Quang Ngai is chosen to be a pilot province, because it has a large stable area of raw material. Besides, it is home to Dung Quat Bio-Ethanol Fuel Factory, with a total capacity of 100,000 litter ethanol per year meeting full demand of markets in coastal central and central highland regions of Vietnam.


Quang Ngai early submitted to the Central Government its proposal of special preferential policies for the investment of raw material area of the Dung Quat Bio-Ethanol Plant.


Quang Ngai also made a suggestion of supports for E5 wholesalers, suppliers. Provincial Government’s staffs and offices are directed to use E5.


Binh Son Refining – Petrochemical Company Limited – owned Dung Quat Bio-Ethanol Plant affirmed to ensure the quality of its products and to be responsible for transporting E5 to stations in the province.


All petroleum stations in the province also agreed to replace traditional gasoline A92 into E5.


Quang Ngai Government, Petro Vietnam and Petrolimex reached an agreement in applying the E5 price to be the same as of A92.


BSR will supply preferential policies to wholesalers of E5 through out the province.
