HCMC donates VND 16 billion for Fund ‘Dear Spratly Islands’

Thien Ngoc Minh Uy Company held a launching ceremony to raise fund for ‘Dear Spratly Islands’ on June 16.

The ceremony aims to raise fund for maritime police forces and fishermen, who are implementing their task to protect sovereignty of the country.



The ceremony was attended by Deputy Chairman of Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.


Thien Ngoc Minh Uy company have contributed more than VND 1, 1 billion at ceremony. Earlier, northern branch of the company also supported nearly VND 2 billion.


Vo Thi Anh Tuyet, Deputy Permanent Secretary of District 6 expressed her thanks to Thien Ngoc Minh Uy and the Hoa (ethnic Chinese) community in HCMC for actively participating in charitable activities, social security during the previous years.


On the same day, crowded Hoa shopkeepers, who are working at Binh Tay Market in District 6, also contributed VND 152.3 million to fund ‘Dear Spratly Islands’.


After one month of launching, HCMC Fatherland Front Committee has been received more than VND 16 billion from 153 individuals, units, companies across city to fund for Spratly Islands.
