More than 500 people attended ‘Cycling race for green environment’ campaign in District 7 on May 31, with the aim to response to World Environment Day (WED) on June 5.
The campaign was held by Saigon Economic Times, Sports Center of District 7 in collaboration with the United State Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam Intel Corporation.
The United State Consulate General Rena Bitter said that Vietnam is one of countries has been affected heavily by climate change. In the next few decades, around 40 percent of the square of Mekong Delta and 20 percent of the square of Ho Chi Minh City can be flooded. Thus, let’s protect environment together in order to prevent harmful effects of climate change.
Attending in the event were the United State Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City Rena Bitter, leaders of departments of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Industry, and staffs of the Consulate General and crowded domestic enterprises.
