(VOVworld) – Iran and the P5+1 powers concluded the fifth round of talks on Iran’s controversial nuclear program but didn’t find a common voice over core issues. The P5+1 group includes five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany.
Addressing after 5 days of negotiations in Vienna, Austria, Iranian Foreign Minsiter Mohammed Javad Zarif said the preliminary agreement holds unreasonable articles to Iran and stressed that Tehran will not accept immoderate requirements by the West. At the talks, the six world powers asked Iran to reduce the number of centrifuges to ensure the country unable to produce enough fuel for making nuclear bombs. But Iran said it needs more centrifuges to enrich uranium for nuclear power plants. Zarif said the US and Western countries should left all sanctions against Iran if they want to have a comprehensive solution for Iran’s nuclear program.
EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton said parties involved have started to write a final deal and the sixth round of negotiations will be held on July 2 in Vienna.
