Representatives of leaders of the Hai Duong provincial Military Command on the morning of June 4 handed over VND50 million, contributed by officers and soldiers in support of the program “For the Fatherland’s sea and islands”, to the provincial Fatherland Front Committee.
In addition, the unit will donate nearly VND100 million to the fund “For the native land’s sea and islands” launched by the High Command of Military Zone 3 and deduct money from its fund to visit and present gifts to the families of the Coast Guard force’s Hai Duong-born officers and soldiers who are safeguarding the national sovereignty in Hoang Sa archipelago area.
The provincial Public Security has donated VND50 million to assist fishermen and the forces performing the duty of defending the sea and island sovereignty.

To date, there have been five units and organizations supporting fishermen and Coast Guard soldiers with VND130 million through the provincial Fatherland Front.
* The Kinh Mon district Women’s Union on the morning of the same day launched donation to the fund “For the native land’s sea and islands”. The union raised VND3.5 million at the launching ceremony.
* The Cam Giang district Youth Union on June 3 launched donation for the program “Joint efforts for the national sea and islands” to youth union levels in the district.
Shortly after the launching ceremony, the unit received over VND30 million donated by officials, Party members, youth union members, youngsters, and teenagers.
