The Hanoitimes – The artillery cooperation between the two armies has seen fruitful outcomes, especially in weapon and equipment maintenance and officer training.
Bilateral cooperation between the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) and its Cambodian counterpart has been constantly strengthened and developed in a comprehensive manner, Deputy Chief of the VPA General Staff Nguyen Quoc Khanh has stressed.
Khanh made the remark at a June 10 reception for a visiting delegation of the Artillery High Command under the Royal Cambodian Army (RCA) led by its Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Long Soty.
The artillery cooperation between the two armies has seen fruitful outcomes, especially in weapon and equipment maintenance and officer training, said Khanh, adding that the effective collaboration has helped deepen the ties between the two armies.
Long Soty thanked the VPA for assisting the RCA in artillery officer training and the maintenance of weapon and equipment, and expressed his hope that the VPA General Staff will continue to support the Cambodian Artillery High Command in the coming time.
