Chairman of the provincial VFFC Le Viet Chu opens the Congress
In 2 days of July 15 and 16, the Quang Ngai provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee held the 13th Congress in term of 2014-2019.
Mr. Vu Trong Kim – Member of Central Committee of the Communist Party, Vice Chairman cum General Secretary of Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; Mr. Tran Ngoc Cang – Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; Mr. Tran Van Minh – Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Mr. Le Viet Chu – Chairman of the provincial Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee, Mr. Le Quang Thich – Acting Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, and more than 300 delegates attended the congress.
In the past 5 years, VFFC at all levels encouraged people to support “Fund for the poor” with the amount of over VND 183 billion, build nearly 2,400 charity houses, gratitude houses.
In term of 2014-2019, VFFC at all levels in the province continues to grasp and implement well Ho Chi Minh thoughts, policies of the Party on great unity, role and duty of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; cooperate with government and related branches to protect legitimate rights and benefits of people, especially of the poor, enhance quality of movement “All people unite to build cultural life” with practical activities, etc.
Addressing at the Congress, Mr. Vu Trong Kim appreciated results achieved by Quang Ngai VFFC in the past term, especially in promoting national great unity to contribute to provincial socio-economic development.
The congress appointed and announced 88 officials to the new term of 2014-2019 including 10 deputies of Standing Committee (1 Chairwoman, 4 Vice Chairmen, 5 Members of Standing Committee). Mrs. Dinh Thi Hong Minh – Secretary of the Minh Long district Party Committee, Chairwoman of the district’s People’s Council was elected to be VFFC Chairwoman of Quang Ngai province in the new term of 2014-2019.
The congress also assigned a delegation of 07 official deputies and 02 alternate deputies to attend the 8th National VFFC Congress in Ha Noi.
