Until July 16, nearly 700 foreign laborers were working in industrial parks, up over 5% against the same period in 2013 because there were some additional foreign investment projects focusing on factory building and the production and business of several Chinese, Hong Kong, and Taiwanese projects were stable, according to the Hai Duong provincial Industrial Zones Authority.

The provincial Industrial Zones Authority has submitted 1,004 working positions allowed to use foreign laborers of 103 enterprises in industrial parks to the provincial People’s Committee for approval.

The unit has reformed administrative procedures to facilitate the settlement of foreign laborer registration forms. Since early this year, among nearly 170 dossiers of businesses requesting granting and re-granting of work permits to foreigners, over 82% of records eligible as prescribed have been granted on time.

Industrial parks in the province are currently attracting over 71,000 laborers, up 12% over the same period last year.
