The University of Natural Sciences (Ha Noi National University)in collaboration with Ha Noi Pedagogical University will host the 46th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) in Ha Noi from July 21-28.
This year’s contest attracted participation of 291 students from 75 countries and territories, and two observer countries.
The Vietnam’s delegation with four students and four staffs registered to take part in the 46th International Chemistry Olympiad.
Deputy Minister of Education and Training and IChO 2014 the Steering Board Head Nguyen Vinh Hien said that the International Chemistry Olympiad is an annual academic competition for high school students under the age of 20 worldwide.
This contest was launched since 1968, and Vietnam is the seventh countries in Asian region hosted this competition.
Vietnam successfully hosted the International Mathematical Olympiad in 2007 and the Physics Olympiad in 2008.
