HA NOI (VNS) – The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Israeli Embassy in Ha Noi will jointly launch the Viet Nam-Israel Commercial Committee on July 14. An agricultural enterprise forum involving Vietnamese and Israeli businesses will also be held. Four leading Israeli firms from the hi-tech agriculture industry; AgroTop, AquaMaof, BioBee and Green 2000, will be present along with local agricultural businesses from Ha Noi. The forum will be an opportunity for businesses from both countries to seek out opportunities for cooperation and share information.
Viet Nam has a strong history of agriculture, with 70 per cent of the population currently comprised of farmers. Last year, the country ranked first for its volume of rice exports. – VNS
