PANO – Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Cung, Deputy Minister of National Defence, on August 8th, chaired a conference to set out activities to celebrate the 70th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and 25th anniversary of the whole people’s defence festive day (December 22nd).

General Cung announced the Prime Minister’s decision to establish an organization panel and to design a Project to mark these events. Accordingly, they will carry out an array of activities, such as disseminating the army’s tradition, launching emulation movements, hosting cultural and sports festivals, organizing seminars and get-togethers, and conducting gratitude programs.
Members of the organization panel had thorough discussion and recommended additional contents to better these activities.
Addressing the session, the Deputy Minister highly valued efforts of relevant units in making documents and plans for the celebration, and urged them to continuously work with local authorities to fulfill all set targets.
